• Account details: Name, email, role (student/parent/school), and profile preferences.
• Study data: Questions you solve, notes you upload, topics practiced, mock results, and progress history.
• Content you provide: Images or files you upload for Snap & Solve or Notes.
• Device data: Device model, OS version, app version, and basic diagnostics for performance and support.
• Usage and app activity: We collect app interaction events such as quiz starts, submissions, feature usage, screen views, and session identifiers to improve the learning experience and monitor app performance.
• Push notification tokens: If you enable notifications, we store your device push token to send study reminders and important service messages.

• Provide learning features (solve, explain, practice, mock, notes).
• Personalize content and track progress.
• Operate credits/subscriptions and prevent abuse.
• Send important service messages (optional study reminders).
• Provide customer support.

3. AI Processing

When you request AI features (solve, explain, notes summary, question generation), your prompt or uploaded content is sent to third-party AI providers to generate results. These providers include Google Gemini and OpenAI. We minimize data shared with these providers and do not sell your data. AI-generated outputs are for study purposes only and may contain errors.

4. Payments

Payments are handled by trusted processors (Paystack, Apple, Google). We do not store your card details. We only store transaction references needed for billing and support.

We keep your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request account deletion in the app or by emailing us, and we will delete your data unless we must keep it for legal or billing reasons.

EduSurf AI generates practice questions based on syllabi and study patterns. Exam names and trademarks (JAMB, WAEC, NECO, etc.) are the property of their respective examination bodies. EduSurf AI is not affiliated with or endorsed by any exam body.

9. Children’s Privacy

EduSurf AI is intended for users aged 13 and above. Users must confirm they are at least 13 years old during registration. For users under 18, we recommend parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13 without consent, we will promptly delete it.

10. Refund Policy

Credit purchases made through Google Play or Apple App Store are subject to the respective store’s refund policies. For purchases made via Paystack (web), please contact us at info@edusurf.ai within 7 days of purchase for a refund if credits have not been used. Partially used credit packs are not eligible for refund.
